"I started dancing about 4 years ago and never looked back."

In only 1.5 years Jeffrey Vinokur went from not dancing at all to over 3.2 Million YouTube views, the #1 most watched Popping dance tutorials in the world, started a dance crew, performed for college sports games, and now teaches his own weekly popping classes.

Jeffrey Vinokur, the Dancing Scientist, is also know by his prominent YouTube username "TheRussianTiger," who has now logged over 15 Million views as of Jan 2013. He gained popularity by learning a rare and difficult dance style in a short time period, and by documenting his progress via YouTube videos. Additionally, his tutorials and performances have become known in the Popping community and watched 12,000 times every day.

Vinokur taught popping through weekly classes for students at the University of Wisconsin-Madison for four years. You can checkout a video of his class and his evolution of a dancer video. In August 2009, Vinokur launched www.TheRussianTiger.com which sells instructional popping DVDs to budding hip hop dancers in over 42 countries. He was also an extra in the 2010 dance movie Step Up 3D.

Vinokur is also the founder of the Madison Dance Conference, the largest collaboration of dance groups at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, and he co-founded Rhythm Per Second Dance Crew. In addition, he won the Outstanding Freshman Award for his organization "Freestyle Funk Sessions" in 2009, and more recently received an entrepreneurship scholarship for his dance website.
