School Assemblies: Elementary, Middle, and High Schools

school science show
Brookside Elementary in Westwood, NJ
"So You Think You Can Do Science" is a 45 minute high-energy chemistry demonstration show that is designed as a school program. The performance is very entertaining, but the goal is 100% educational. The show is full of flashes, bangs, fizzing, over-flowing liquids, oozing, and color changes. The experiments are also set to music with a live DJ and 30% of the experiments are done while dancing.

The educational topics discussed include acids & bases, energy, polymers, alternative fuels, catalysts, light, and careers in science. The show is complete with volunteering, upbeat music,  competitions, and occasional jaw-dropping dance moves.  Most other science shows only operate K-6, but the Dancing Scientist™ connects with the high school students through the hip hop music, dancing, and by being a young, energetic performer.

Television & Short Appearances

Picture
CW 11 News in Saint Louis
Short appearances focus on the combination of flashy chemistry demos and hip hop dancing happening at the same time to upbeat music! Short performances run 60 seconds to 10 minutes. For entertainment focused productions, the focus is shifted to dancing. Doing fun experiments with a host or news anchor is also popular and more educational. For previous appearances, please see the Television tab in the navigation bar.

Letters and emails from past clients. Also survey results via my agency.

  • Jeff did a tremendous job adjusting his presentations to each level of student. The kindergarten responded just as well as the 4th grade. What a great way to launch our science fair. Word spread fast. Another elementary in the district will be calling to schedule. Thanks for an amazing show! Keri Lange, Yahara Elementary School, DeForest, WI

  • Our students and staff were talking about this assembly for a whole week. It was one of their favorites, EVER!  Paul L. Vickers, Mill Run Elementary, Ashburn, VA

  • Students were engaged and energetic. Asked for participation from the audience. Addressed GLE's in Science and at the same time entertained the students with dancing. Taught the studetns that they can learn how to do anything if they set their mind to it. Very well done! Katie Vaccaro, Broad Street School, Nashua, NH

  • Jeff was great! He really knew how to relate to our students. We enjoyed having him visit with both of our elementary schools. Jeff is an alumnae at Roberge School. He even shared photos with us. It was wonderful for our students to see what the future can be with hard work and dedication. Jeff made Science FUN! Our teachers enjoyed his presentation as well! Keep on Dancing! The children are already clamoring for your return next school year! Terry Glaney, Principal, George Washington School, West Hempstead, NY
